Since CapCut's founding in 2020, we've become the all-in-one editing platform where creative ideas of all kinds take shape—from creators sparking trends that inspire millions of others, to filmmakers creating new works of art from scratch.

We're excited to share that CapCut has reached over 660 million users across 170+ markets and 30 languages in Southeast Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and more. To celebrate this milestone, we're introducing CapCut World, a first-ever series of community events in Southeast Asia, the U.S., and Europe designed to celebrate and empower our creators.

At the inaugural Southeast Asia event in Singapore this weekend, we brought together 300+ creators, industry leaders and CapCut team members to share inspiring creator stories, exchange creation tips, and learn more about the fan favorite product features that are shaping CapCut today. In this post, we're sharing new data and recapping the highlights for our wider community.

Helping community members iterate together

Interactive and iterative creation has long been a backbone of CapCut's community. CapCut’s extensive library of templates provides endless inspiration for every kind of creator, publishing over 400,000 new templates every day. From first-time creators memorializing their recent travels to creators setting behind tomorrow’s biggest trend, CapCut’s suite of customizable templates enables expression for millions of users.

To further empower templates, CapCut recently rolled out Skills, a new way for creators to save and share the styles, workflows and techniques behind their work, in addition to the end result. This makes it easy for creators to adapt and build on creative processes, as well as teach others to do the same.

For example, when filmmaker and CapCut creator Vee Camallere made her AI series Featherweight, which has reached more than 25 million views, she saved her color grading process as a standalone Skill so she could reuse the same look across every episode, rather than rebuilding it from scratch each time. As Vee shared at CapCut World Singapore:

"When the story moves between scenes, I can call it up and the look stays consistent, that's what sets this whole process apart."

Empowering people throughout the creative process

Today, CapCut offers over 85 AI tools, which have helped our community create over 6 billion original content generations like images, video clips, or effects in 2026 alone. These are designed to be intuitive and practical creators of all kinds, making every step of the creative process more efficient and accessible, all in one place.

For example, with AI Lab, creators can brainstorm ideas in their own words directly in the CapCut app. From there, they can move to Infinite Canvas to develop a story, build characters and experiment with shots and scenes as ideas take shape. When it's time to bring everything together, that story, along with its assets and creative context, carries directly into CapCut's multi-track editor, where Edit Pilot works alongside creators as an AI editing partner, understanding intent and applying the right tools along the way. We embed transparency measures like invisible watermarks and C2PA Content Credentials throughout, making responsible creation easy.

Advancing creative technologies

Over 7 million creators use our AI features every day, and that includes a growing number of AI-native professional filmmakers.

CapCut continues to prioritize integrating advanced AI models including Dreamina Seedance for video, Dola Seedream for images, and Seed Audio for sound, giving creators a state-of-the-art generation built directly into the app. These help power precise and advanced creation features like Video Studio, Seedance's interactive editing lets creators adjust specific timestamps, characters or elements within a shot, without regenerating the whole scene.

In Design Studio, Seedream's interactive editing works the same way for images, letting creators refine a result by drawing an arrow, circling a region, or separating elements into draggable, scalable layers. Together, these tools bring video, images, design and AI-assisted creation into a single platform across mobile, desktop, web and tablet.

What's next for CapCut World

CapCut World Singapore is just the first stop in our global celebration of creators—we'll be bringing it to Los Angeles and London later this year. As CapCut continues building across video, images, design and AI-assisted creation, our focus stays the same. In the words of Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut:

"Our roots are in making video creation easier and more accessible" said Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut, "And we're building on that foundation to bring more of the creative journey together, across editing, design and new tools, while keeping the choices that define your work in your hands."
