CapCut uses a credit-based system to manage access to certain premium features—such as AI script generation, smart cutout, or watermark-free exports with advanced templates. However, as of 2026, this credit system is only available on CapCut Online (Web) and CapCut Desktop. CapCut Mobile App does not support credit-consuming features at this time.
Confirmed Credit Consumption Order
When you use a feature that requires credits, CapCut deducts from your balance in the following fixed priority:
Subscription Credits
- These are included with active CapCut Pro or Teams subscriptions.
- They reset periodically (usually monthly) and expire if unused.
- Highest priority: consumed first to maximize value before expiration.
Activity or Promotional Credits
- Earned through events, campaigns, referrals, or limited-time offers.
- Often have shorter validity periods (e.g., 7–30 days).
- Used second, after subscription credits are exhausted.
Purchased (Paid) Credits
- Bought directly via in-app purchase or web store.
- Typically do not expire (unless stated otherwise).
- Lowest priority: used only when both subscription and promotional credits are depleted.
🌟 Example: If you have 20 subscription credits, 15 activity credits, and 100 purchased credits, and you use a feature costing 25 credits, the system will deduct:
20 from subscription → 5 from activity → 0 from purchased.
Remaining balance: 0 sub, 10 activity, 100 purchased.
CapCut Online (Web)/CapCut Desktop (Windows / macOS)
- All credit-consuming actions (e.g., AI script generation, premium template exports) follow the above order.
- You can view your credit breakdown under Profile → Credits.
- Real-time deduction is reflected immediately after using a feature.
CapCut Mobile App (iOS / Android)
- Does not support any credit-based features.
- While some AI tools appear in the app, they either use device-based processing (free) or require you to open the project in CapCut Online to apply credit-consuming actions.
- No "Credits" section in the mobile profile; no deduction ever happens on mobile.
📍 Note: Credit types and balances are unified across your account—changes on mobile or web reflect everywhere instantly.
