Template monetization in CapCut allows creators to enable users to unlock and edit a template's draft—customizing elements like stickers, font styles, and music—while protecting the creator's original "Monetize template" when publishing. If monetization isn't enabled, users won't be able to edit the draft.

How Users Can Unlock Template Drafts

  • Single Purchase: Pay a one-time fee to unlock a template's draft and customize it freely.
  • Member Subscription: With an active subscription, use the "Edit More" feature on paid templates as many times as you want. After the membership expires, you must renew it to continue using this feature.

📍 Purchased template drafts cannot be republished as your own templates, and all purchases are non-refundable since drafts are considered virtual goods.

📍 Templates will not automatically become monetized if you don't manually enable the feature.

📍 Users can only edit elements of a template they have purchased access to; the original creator's media is protected.

Template monetization helps creators earn from their work while giving users the flexibility to customize templates safely.
