The QR code login feature in CapCut allows you to quickly sign in to your account on a computer by scanning a code with your mobile device. However, this option is only available on specific platforms—namely, CapCut Web and CapCut PC. It is not supported in the mobile app, as you're already on the device used for scanning. If you don't see a QR code where you expect one, here's how to check based on each platform:

Table of content
  1. CapCut Web (via browser)
  2. CapCut Desktop (Windows/macOS)
  3. CapCut Mobile App (iOS/Android)

CapCut Web (via browser)

✅ QR code login is supported.

If it's missing:

  • You're already signed in: The login screen may not appear at all, or only show email/password fields.

📍 Tip: Sign out completely, then reload CapCut Online.

  • Browser compatibility issues: Older browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer) or outdated versions may not render the QR module.

📍 Tip: Use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari (latest versions).

  • Ad blockers or privacy extensions: Extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or script blockers can prevent external assets (including QR images) from loading.

📍 Tip: Temporarily disable extensions or try an incognito window.

  • Cached or corrupted page data: Stale cache may load an older version of the login page without QR support.

📍 Tip: Hard-refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R) or clear browsing data.

  • Screen size or responsive layout: On very narrow windows or mobile-sized browser views, the QR option may be hidden to prioritize form-based login.

📍 Tip: Maximize your browser window or switch to desktop view.

  • Geographic or CDN restrictions: In some regions, content delivery networks (CDNs) serving the QR image may be blocked or slow to respond.

📍 Tip: Try a different network or use a personal hotspot.

CapCut Desktop (Windows/macOS)

✅ QR code login is supported.

If it's not showing:

  • Outdated App version: Early versions of CapCut Desktop did not include QR login. The feature was added in later updates.

📍 Tip: Download the latest version from the official CapCut website—not third-party stores.

  • Account auto-login enabled: If "Remember me" or auto-login is active, the app skips the full login screen.

📍 Tip: Manually sign out via your profile icon > Sign Out, then restart the app.

  • Corrupted local cache: Temporary files may interfere with UI rendering.

📍 Tip: Restart the app; if the issue persists, Download CapCut PC for the latest version

📍 (Notice: avoid uninstalling unless necessary, as it may delete local projects).

  • System date/time incorrect: SSL/TLS certificate validation for secure QR generation can fail if your system clock is off by more than a few minutes.

📍 Tip: Ensure your computer's date and time are set automatically and accurately.

  • Firewall or security software blocking resources: Corporate antivirus or firewall tools may block connections to CapCut's authentication servers.

📍 Tip: Temporarily disable security software (if safe) or add CapCut to the allowlist.

CapCut Mobile App (iOS/Android)

❌ QR code login is not available here.

On mobile, you log in directly using TikTok, Google, Apple ID, or email—there's no QR code because the phone itself is the authenticating device. You'll only see the QR code when logging into another device (like a computer), not within the app you're using to scan.

📍 Additional Tips:

  • The QR code only appears when you're on a supported platform and not already logged in.
  • Both devices must be linked to the same CapCut account ecosystem (e.g., same TikTok or email identity) for scanning to work.
  • If issues persist on Web or Desktop after trying the steps above, try switching networks (e.g., from office Wi-Fi to mobile hotspot), as firewalls can block QR image loading.

If you've checked all the above and still can't see the QR code on CapCut Web or Desktop, please reach out to CapCut Support through the app or official website. We appreciate your patience—and we're here to help you get back to editing smoothly!
