Method 1: Use Shift + X

  • Press Shift + X on your keyboard.
  • Set the In and Out points around the part of the timeline you want to export.
  • Only the selected section will be exported.

  • Move the playhead to where your clip should start and press I to set the In marker.
  • Move the playhead to where your clip should end and press O to set the Out marker. (You can press I and O in any order.)
  • Export the video, and only the marked section will be included.
