How to View and Purchase Paid Templates in CapCut?

✅ CapCut Mobile App (iOS / Android) – Only Supported Platform

Step 1: Open the CapCut app

Launch the latest version of CapCut on your smartphone.

Step 2: Go to the Template section

Tap "Template" at the bottom of the home screen.

📍 If you don't see the "Template" tab, please update your app from the App Store or Google Play, or note that this feature may not be available in your region yet.

Step 3: Browse or search for paid templates

• Scroll through categories like "Trending," "Premium," or "Editor's Pick."
• Paid templates are clearly marked with a "Paid" label or a price tag (e.g., 0.99,1.99) on the thumbnail.
• You can also use the search bar and filter by "Paid" if available.

Step 4: View template details

Tap any paid template to open its preview page. Here you can:

• Watch a full demo video;
• See the number of required media clips;
• Check the price and licensing terms.

Step 5: Purchase the template

• Tap "Use template" (or sometimes "Unlock" / "Buy").
• You'll be prompted to confirm the purchase via Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
• The charge will be processed through your platform account—no separate CapCut wallet is needed.

Step 6: Use the template immediately

After successful payment, the template unlocks automatically.

• Select your photos or videos to fill the placeholders.
• Tap "Preview", edit as needed, and then "Export" your final video.

📍 Note: Once purchased, the template is linked to your CapCut account and can be reused anytime. However, refunds are subject to Apple/Google's in-app purchase policies.

❌ CapCut Web (CapCut Online) –View and Purchase Not Supported

As of January 2026, you cannot browse, preview, or purchase paid templates directly on CapCut Web.

• While editing a project that was created from a paid template on mobile, you can view and edit that template normally on the web—because it's already unlocked under your account.
• However, if you go to the Templates gallery on CapCut Online, all visible templates are free.
• If a template is marked as "Premium" or "Pro" in the backend, clicking it will show a message like:

"This template is only available in the CapCut mobile app. Open it on your phone to purchase."

• There is no payment interface, no "Paid" label, and no way to complete a purchase on the web.

📍 In short: Web supports using already-purchased paid templates (via synced projects), but does NOT support discovering or buying them.

❌ CapCut Desktop (Windows / macOS) – View and Purchase Not Supported

The desktop app also does not allow you to view or purchase paid templates.

• The "Templates" tab during project creation only shows free, built-in templates provided by CapCut.
• No paid templates appear, and there are no price tags, "Paid" badges, or unlock buttons.
• However, if you've purchased a template on mobile and then open that project on desktop (via cloud sync), the template will load correctly and you can edit or export it.
• Despite this, you cannot search for, preview, or buy any new paid templates within the desktop app.
• The desktop version has no integration with Apple/Google payment systems and no in-app purchase flow.

📍 In short: Desktop supports using already-purchased paid templates (via synced projects), but does NOT support browsing or purchasing them.
