Can I Modify History Task?

🔑 Login & Sync

First, ensure you are logged in. CapCut saves projects to the cloud by default when logged in.

2. Click Sign in (top left) using the same account you used to create the project.

🛠️ How to Modify

1. Find "AI design" or "Projects" or "Spaces" to choose history task you want to modify.

1. Open: Choose the history task you want to modify and click to start editing.

1. Edit: Just like editing a regular project, click on the project you want to modify and you can continue your design.

🌐 2. Web Version (Online)

The web version is great for quick tweaks when you don't have the app installed.

Go to CapCut Online.

🛠️ How to Modify

1. Go to CapCut Online and log in.

2. Click AI Design on the left side then click "My projects" below the input box.

Scroll down the left menu and select the task to modify from Recent Projects or Spaces.

1. Now, click on the project you want to modify and you can continue your design.

📱 3. Mobile App (iOS & Android)

This is the most common way to edit. Your "history tasks" are stored in the Projects Library.

1. Open the App: Launch CapCut on your phone.

2. Find the project you want: After entering the app, find your task in the Projects tab on the home screen.

1. Open&Edit: Just tap the task you want to change and edit it like you always do.

📍 Tip: If you export, it will create a new video file. The original project file (the one you edit) is updated automatically when you hit the back arrow.

Key Tips & Troubleshooting

  Cross-Platform Syncing

• Cloud Sync: As long as you use the same account, projects edited on Mobile can be opened on PC/Web, and vice versa. Projects must be uploaded to Spaces to enable cross-platform cloud usage.
• Local Files: If you didn't log in when you first created the project (on PC), it might be saved locally only. Look in the "Local Projects" section.

"I can't find my old project!"

• Check the Trash: Deleted projects go to the trash/recycle bin. You can restore them from there.
• Check Login: Make sure you are on the correct account.
• Local vs. Cloud: On PC, toggle between "Cloud" and "Local" views in the Projects library.

Recommendation

• If you are making a major change to a historical task and want to keep the old version, duplicate the project first, then edit the copy.
