BCD Studio is CapCut's exclusive in-house music label, offering high-quality, royalty-free tracks curated for creators—ranging from cinematic scores and viral beats to ambient soundscapes. While some BCD Studio tracks were temporarily available for free during a promotional or trial period, they are now officially designated as CapCut Pro–exclusive content.

You're being asked to pay because access to the full BCD Studio library (or specific premium tracks within it) requires an active CapCut Pro subscription. This change reflects CapCut's investment in licensing, music production, and artist partnerships—and ensures sustainable access to fresh, professional-grade audio.

Below is how this applies across each platform:

Table of content
  1. CapCut Online
  2. CapCut Desktop (Windows / macOS)
  3. CapCut Mobile App (iOS / Android)

CapCut Online

  • Step 1: In the editor, you open the Audio → Music tab and browse or search for "BCD Studio".
  • Step 2: Tracks labeled with a badge or "BCD Studio" logo cannot be added to your project unless you're a Pro subscriber.
Pro users can add music from BCD Studio
  • Step 3: When you click "Use" on such a track, a modal appears:

"This BCD Studio track is available exclusively to CapCut Pro members. Subscribe to unlock."

  • Step 4: Free users may still hear a short preview, but cannot apply or export videos using these tracks.

CapCut Desktop (Windows / macOS)

  • Step 1: You navigate to Audio → Music Library and filter by "BCD Studio".
Search for audio on desktop
  • Step 2: Premium BCD tracks appear grayed out or show a lock icon. Hovering reveals: "Requires CapCut Pro".
  • Step 3: Attempting to drag a locked track into the timeline triggers a prompt: "BCD Studio music is part of CapCut Pro. Join to use premium audio in your projects."
  • Step 4: The "Join" button redirects you to CapCut Web to complete your subscription—the desktop does not handle payments directly.

📍 Note: Even if you previously used BCD Studio music for free during the trial, ongoing access now requires Pro; your local cache doesn't grant permanent rights.

CapCut Mobile App (iOS / Android)

  • Step 1: In the editor, tap "Audio" → "Music", then select the "BCD Studio" category.
  • Step 2: Most tracks display a tag or "Unlock with Pro" banner.
  • Step 3: Tapping any premium track shows a full-screen overlay:
  • Step 4: If you proceed without subscribing, you can preview the track, but cannot add it to your video or export it with it.
  • Step 5: Tapping "Subscribe" opens the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) for in-app purchase.

📍 Important: On mobile, all new BCD Studio releases are Pro-only, and even older tracks that were once free are now restricted if they belong to the premium catalog.
