  1. 1. Change the Export Location

  3. 3. Re-attempt Export

1. Change the Export Location

Select a folder that grants full access permissions. Recommended locations include:

• Your Desktop

• Your Documents folder

• The default video or downloads folder in your user directory

• CapCut's own installation directory

2. Avoid System-Protected Folders

Do not choose folders that are protected by the operating system or require administrator privileges, such as:

• System root directories (e.g., C:\ or C:\Windows\)

3. Re-attempt Export

After choosing a new, accessible save location, try exporting your video again.

Once you have updated the export path to a permitted folder, your video should export successfully.
